The weekend will be filled with opportunities to dive into nature, enjoy some much-needed quiet, eat delicious and nutritious food, and boost your physical and emotional well-being.

Won Dharma Center

Conveniently located in a rural setting near New York City and Boston, the Won Dharma Center is set on 426 acres in Claverack in upstate New York, overlooking the Hudson Valley and the Catskill Mountains. Surrounded by wooded foothills with a nearby brook, the retreat center is a serene natural setting for contemplation and renewal. A green community designed with sensitivity to nature and issues of Sustainable Design, the center consists of eco-friendly buildings designed to provide a tranquil and meditative atmosphere. The Won Dharma Center won the 2010 Design Award from Faith & Form / IFRAA International Awards Program for Religious Art and Architecture.

8:00 – 9:00 pm: Evening Meditation & Silence begins

Saturday, April 23rd

7:15 am: Optional Morning Meditation
8:00 – 8:45 am: Silent Breakfast

9:00 – 9:45 am : Morning Meditation & Dharma Talk
10:00 – 12:00 pm: Forest Bathing
12:00 – 12:45 pm: Silent Lunch
1:30  – 3:00 pm: Breakout Sessions
3:30 – 5:30 pm: Free time to hike, rest, practice yoga
3:30 – 4:30 pm: Mindfulness Based Gentle Yoga
6:00 – 6:45 pm: Silent Dinner
7:00 – 7:30 pm: Evening Dharma Talk & Fire Ceremony

9:00 AM – 10:00 AM:  Morning Outdoor Walk & Nature Activity

COVID Protocols – In order to keep everyone safe and to comply with all regulations for public health due to COVID-19, we have made the following arrangements:

  • all retreat participants must to be vaccinated, and provide proof of vaccination upon check-in;
  • if booking a double room without a friend or family member, a negative Covid-test (taken no more than 24-hours prior to arrival) needs to be presented upon check-in;
  • everyone is requested to respect a safe ‘social distance’ in the indoor spaces
  • face masks will be required to be worn indoors, except when on your mat/cushion for practice and seated for meals inside
  • you will be required to sign a Covid Waiver Form upon check-in. If you have a fever, or other symptoms that may indicate infection with COVID-19,  you will not be allowed to join the retreat.

We will continue to monitor the COVID rules and infections rates and notify guests if any of these rules change.
